Angel of the LordBy the end of his short ministry, Christ’s disciples knew he was previously the Angel of God (aka: the Angel of the Lord, and the Angel of Great Counsel, per Isaiah 9:6; LXX translation). The deacon Stephen confirmed that this angel was the one who appeared to Moses on Mount Sinai, which is a challenge for those in Christianity who claim that Christ came to do away with his Father’s law.
